I still have not edited the footage from our last game, but we went again on Sunday.
Even though it was only 13 degrees outside we wound up playing for over 5 hours. I would have kept playing but, I blew the valve in my gun and the repair could not be done in the field. We rolled up with 15 people this time and played some serious strategy against the other groups. we preyed on the fact that the first 30 seconds of every round the other team just runs for cover so I took 2 guys for support and the rest of our team scattered. We watched where the other team ended up and took the path towards the smaller group. Out team laid down some great cover fire while my guys swept the perimeter making room for me to get behind the other team and snipe them out 1 by one. Aside from the first battle where I blew through over 500 balls because I got locked into a bunker alone. I only averaged about 20 - 30 balls each round when we started using a strategy. It's nice to be quick and agile on the field, it makes the game more exciting.

flanking ftw!
Sounds like you got some great tactics. I was just thinking, how do you guys play if somebody gets clipped in a shoulder or just the side of the leg? Is it still the honor system, and they're out, or are there rules to let them keep playing unless it's an inch or two into the limb/body/head? Or does even the slightest clip count as a hit? |

Depending on the field, the local place plays if the paint breaks anywhere including your gun, you are out. In the summer when clothing is not so thick we play paint or pain. you play till you run out of paint or you cant take the pain anymore and call yourself out.
At skirmish it's a body shot to be out, gun arms and legs don't count. Some games we play respawn, where you walk all the way back to the safe zone and start over. |
